i can't help it, but i laughed when i saw the comment about the table. i'm exactly the same way with my grand plans for furniture and other projects that require deep involvement and long time commitments. the minute i start, i totally regret it! but there's no going back, so i keep going, and when i'm finished i'm happy with it.
