Why don´t a round plates don´t fit on a square bowl?

Crash...BOOM...splash...broken plate...in nice pieces!!!!!

Had to vacuum in the middle of my lunch so IB didn´t get it up in his paws...typical...Just when I was going to eat lunch...SO...Had to make some fun out of the mess...in the end...
